Description

Delicious Italian sausages baked with colorful bell peppers and onions, perfect served with rice or mashed potatoes.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound Italian sausages (6 sausages)
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 1 yellow bell pepper
  • 1 green pepper
  • 1 large white onion
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees and line a baking sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper.
  2. Slice the peppers and onions into ¼ inch slices. Cut the sausage into discs, and place them all on the prepared baking sheet.
  3. Drizzle the olive oil and sprinkle the seasonings on top and give them a good toss.
  4. Bake for 15 minutes, toss everything, and bake for another 10-15 minutes.
  5. Serve with white rice or mashed potatoes!

Notes

  • This dish can also be served in a hoagie roll for a delicious sandwich.
  • Feel free to add your favorite vegetables to the mix.
