A delicious cinnamon roll cake that combines the flavors of warm cinnamon and orange zest.

- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
- 1 cup whole milk (warm)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- Zest of 1 large orange
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Warm the milk in a saucepan until lukewarm.
- In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, and yeast.
- Gradually add warm milk while stirring until combined.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- For the filling, combine brown sugar, cinnamon, and orange zest in a bowl.
- Roll out risen dough into a rectangle, spread melted butter over it, then sprinkle the filling mixture evenly.
- Cut into slices and place in a greased baking dish.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
- For a richer flavor, consider adding cream cheese frosting on top.
