Description

Delicious and creamy mashed red potatoes with garlic and parmesan cheese.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 5 pounds red potatoes
  • 1 Tablespoon salt
  • 6 teaspoons garlic (minced)
  • 2 cups low fat milk
  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Wash and dice potatoes.
  2. Place potatoes in a large pot, add salt and cover with water.
  3. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat and cook until potatoes are tender, about 20 minutes.
  4. Remove the potatoes from heat and drain the water.
  5. Mash the potatoes and add the garlic and milk gradually. Mash using an electric mixer or a potato masher.
  6. Add Parmesan cheese and mix until combined.
  7. Let stand for a few minutes to thicken, then serve.

Notes

  • For creamier potatoes, add more milk as needed.
  • For added flavor, consider using butter along with or instead of milk.
