Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a large sheet pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and poppy seeds.
- In another bowl, mix the milk, melted butter, eggs, lemon juice, and zest until combined.
- Gradually pour the wet ingredients into the dry mixture while gently stirring to avoid overmixing.
- Spread the batter evenly on the prepared sheet pan.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown; check doneness with a toothpick.
- Let cool slightly before slicing into squares and serve warm.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, consider adding a lemon glaze on top after baking.
