Description
A creamy and delicious dip perfect for parties or gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
- 4 oz smoked salmon (chopped)
- 2 tbsp fresh dill (or chives)
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp capers (optional)
- 1 tsp garlic powder (or fresh minced garlic)
- 1 pkg crackers (or baguette slices)
- 1 cup vegetable sticks (carrots, cucumbers)
Instructions
- Gather ingredients: Start by assembling all your ingredients, including cream cheese, smoked salmon, fresh dill, lemon juice, and capers.
- Soften cream cheese: Place the cream cheese in a mixing bowl and let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes.
- Mix base: Combine the softened cream cheese with lemon juice and dill in the bowl. Use a hand mixer or spatula until the mixture is creamy and well-blended, about 2-3 minutes.
- Fold in salmon: Add the chopped smoked salmon and capers gently into the creamy mixture. Stir until just combined, keeping some chunky bits for texture—about 1 minute.
- Chill dip: Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let your dip chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
- Serve: Spoon the chilled smoked salmon cream cheese dip into a serving bowl, garnishing with extra dill or capers if desired.
Notes
- This dip pairs well with crackers or fresh vegetable sticks.
- For a twist, try adding some hot sauce for heat.
