A delicious and easy shrimp orzo recipe with lemon and garlic.

- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 cup orzo pasta
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 lemon, juiced and zested
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the orzo according to package instructions. Once done, drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet and season with salt and pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they turn pink and are fully cooked.
- Add the cooked orzo to the skillet along with the lemon juice and zest. Toss everything together until well combined.
- Taste and adjust the seasoning as needed.
- Remove from heat and garnish with chopped parsley for an extra touch of freshness.
Notes
- This dish is best served fresh.
- You can substitute the shrimp with chicken or another protein if desired.
