Description

Deliciously spicy and sweet roasted Brussels sprouts, perfect as a side dish!


Ingredients

  • 1 ½ lbs Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha (or more to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce (optional but adds depth)
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Optional garnish: toasted sesame seeds, chopped green onions, or crushed peanuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easier cleanup.
  3. Place the halved Brussels sprouts in a large mixing bowl.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, honey (or maple syrup), sriracha, soy sauce, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  5. Taste the glaze and adjust spiciness or sweetness as desired.
  6. Pour the glaze over the Brussels sprouts.
  7. Toss until evenly coated.
  8. Spread the sprouts cut-side down on the baking sheet.
  9. Roast for 20–25 minutes, or until browned and crisp around the edges.
  10. For extra char, broil for 1–2 additional minutes.
  11. Transfer to a serving dish.
  12. Garnish with sesame seeds, green onions, or crushed peanuts if desired.
  13. Serve immediately.

  • For a vegetarian version, ensure the honey is replaced with maple syrup.
