Deliciously spicy and sweet roasted Brussels sprouts, perfect as a side dish!

- 1 ½ lbs Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon sriracha (or more to taste)
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce (optional but adds depth)
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- Optional garnish: toasted sesame seeds, chopped green onions, or crushed peanuts
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easier cleanup.
- Place the halved Brussels sprouts in a large mixing bowl.
- In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, honey (or maple syrup), sriracha, soy sauce, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Taste the glaze and adjust spiciness or sweetness as desired.
- Pour the glaze over the Brussels sprouts.
- Toss until evenly coated.
- Spread the sprouts cut-side down on the baking sheet.
- Roast for 20–25 minutes, or until browned and crisp around the edges.
- For extra char, broil for 1–2 additional minutes.
- Transfer to a serving dish.
- Garnish with sesame seeds, green onions, or crushed peanuts if desired.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- For a vegetarian version, ensure the honey is replaced with maple syrup.
- Adjust the amount of sriracha based on your spice preference.
