Description

A sweet and tangy kiwi syrup perfect for drizzling over desserts or mixing in drinks.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 kiwi (ripe)
  • 1 cup white granulated sugar (200g)
  • ¾ cup water (180ml)

Instructions

  1. Peel the kiwis and cut into chunks.
  2. Add all ingredients to a small pot.
  3. Stir it together, bring to the boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. Allow the mixture to cool slightly.
  5. Place a fine-mesh strainer over a bowl or jug and pour in the mixture.
  6. Lightly press the kiwis into the strainer to extract the juice, but don’t press too hard or your syrup could have ‘kiwi bits’ in it.
  7. Allow the mixture to cool, then pour into a jar or bottle and keep in the fridge for up to 1 week.
