Description

A delicious and easy honey mustard chicken recipe made in the Instant Pot.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • ½ cup honey
  • ¼ cup Dijon mustard
  • 2 tbsp whole grain mustard (optional)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.
  2. Set Instant Pot to sauté mode and heat olive oil. Sear chicken for 2–3 minutes per side until lightly golden. Remove chicken and set aside.
  3. In a small bowl, mix honey, Dijon mustard, and whole grain mustard.
  4. Pour chicken broth into the pot and scrape up any browned bits. Add honey mustard mixture and stir.
  5. Place chicken back into the pot, coating with sauce.
  6. Seal the lid and cook on high pressure for 10 minutes. Allow natural release for 5 minutes, then quick release remaining pressure.
  7. Serve chicken with sauce spooned over top, garnished with fresh parsley.

  • Chicken must reach an internal temperature of 165°F for safety.
  • Adjust mustard levels to taste if desired.
