Ingredients

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease heart-shaped cake pans.
  2. In a large bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and sugar.
  3. In another bowl, whisk eggs, milk, and melted butter. Combine with dry ingredients until just mixed.
  4. Pour batter into pans and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  5. Cool in pans for 10 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
  6. Slice each cake in half horizontally, layer with whipped cream and cherries, then stack. Top with more whipped cream and cherries.
