Description
Enjoy your flavorful Grilled Rosemary Balsamic Steak!
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 lbs steak (ribeye, sirloin, or your preferred cut)
- 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: A few sprigs of rosemary for garnish
Instructions
- Marinate the Steak: In a mixing bowl, combine balsamic vinegar, olive oil, chopped rosemary, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Place the steak in a resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish and pour the marinade over it. Ensure the steak is well-coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight, for maximum flavor.
- Prepare the Grill: Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Remove the steak from the marinade and let it come to room temperature for about 30 minutes.
- Grill the Steak: Lightly oil the grill grates to prevent sticking. Place the steak on the grill and cook for about 4-6 minutes per side for medium-rare, depending on the thickness of the steak. Use a meat thermometer to ensure the desired doneness. For medium-rare, aim for an internal temperature of 135°F (57°C).
- Rest and Serve: Remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for about 5-10 minutes to allow the juices to redistribute. Slice the steak against the grain for tenderness.
Notes
- For Extra Flavor: Add a tablespoon of soy sauce to the marinade for additional umami.
- Alternative Cooking Method: If you don’t have a grill, you can use a grill pan on the stove.
- Garnish: Garnish with fresh rosemary sprigs for a fragrant presentation.
- Side Pairings: This steak pairs well with grilled vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a fresh green salad.
