- 1 rack pork ribs
- 2 cups macaroni pasta
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 2 cups milk
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C).
- Season ribs with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
- Place ribs on a baking sheet and cover with foil. Bake for 2.5 hours, or until tender.
- Remove foil and brush ribs with barbecue sauce. Increase oven temperature to 400°F (200°C) and bake for an additional 15 minutes until sauce is caramelized.
- Cook macaroni according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add flour and stir for 1 minute.
- Gradually whisk in milk, cooking until sauce is thickened (about 5 minutes).
- Add in cheddar cheese, stirring until melted and smooth.
- Combine cooked macaroni with cheese sauce.
- Slice ribs and place on top of the macaroni and cheese.
- Garnish with chopped parsley for a fresh taste.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate ribs overnight in barbecue sauce.
- Use a mix of cheeses for a richer taste (e.g., mozzarella, gouda).
- For a crispy topping, broil the mac and cheese for a few minutes before serving.
