Ingredients

  • 1 rack pork ribs
  • 2 cups macaroni pasta
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Season ribs with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
  3. Place ribs on a baking sheet and cover with foil. Bake for 2.5 hours, or until tender.
  4. Remove foil and brush ribs with barbecue sauce. Increase oven temperature to 400°F (200°C) and bake for an additional 15 minutes until sauce is caramelized.
  5. Cook macaroni according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  6. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add flour and stir for 1 minute.
  7. Gradually whisk in milk, cooking until sauce is thickened (about 5 minutes).
  8. Add in cheddar cheese, stirring until melted and smooth.
  9. Combine cooked macaroni with cheese sauce.
  10. Slice ribs and place on top of the macaroni and cheese.
  11. Garnish with chopped parsley for a fresh taste.
