Description
Delicious and moist banana blondies made with ripe bananas, chocolate chips, and walnuts!
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 ripe bananas, mashed
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon baking soda
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup chocolate chips (optional)
- ½ cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
Instructions
- Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line an 8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
- Add the melted butter to the mashed bananas. Stir in the brown sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- In another bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- If desired, fold in chocolate chips and/or nuts for added flavor and texture.
- Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking pan.
- Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Once baked, remove from the oven and allow the blondies to cool in the pan for about 20 minutes before cutting.
- After cooling, slice into squares and serve.
Notes
- Make sure to not overmix the batter to keep the blondies fluffy.
- These blondies can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week.
